Key Activities in the Polyurethane Foam Division

Established in 2019 after acquiring foam product production from GIC-Grup, this division utilizes state-of-the-art Krauss Maffei injection machines to manufacture a wide range of products. These include:

ACS’s advanced technology and expertise in polyurethane foam production make it a leading supplier of durable and high-performance automotive components.

Flexible products

Injected flexible polyurethane foam parts:

Armrests Pads & Seat Parts

Dense products

High density foam parts: Integral skin PU foam

The method

Polyurethane Injection Technology

Polyurethane injection technology involves mixing two liquid components under high pressure and injecting them into molds to create various parts. These parts can range from flexible items like seat cushions and armrests to semi-rigid components like shock absorbers, as well as foam with integral skin for items such as steering wheels.

We have the ability to build the design of a part according to the geometry of the surroundings and the indicated requirements. After establishing the choice of material and validating the geometry of the part, we move on to the mold design:

Injection Systems Used:
Flexible Polyurethane:

Provides a soft touch feel and is often covered with textile, leather, or synthetic leather for applications like soundproofing and shock absorption.

Key Specifications:
Overmolding Capability:

Polyurethane can be injected over metal or plastic inserts fixed in the mold.

The steps

How our production process takes place

1. Defining the characteristics and geometric shape according to the environment for an efficient soundproofing / sealing.

2. Developing an initial prototype mold for performance analyse and improvement.

3. Conducting thorough design validation, then preparing serial mold kick off.

4. Part / process validation to confirm output reliability.

5. And finally, serial production of the part can begin!
